Your client wants smooth, frizz-free hair, and you have two categories on the shelf: keratin and nanoplastia. Here's the first thing to get right — both can deliver strong straightening. There is no universal rule like "keratin for max sleek, nanoplastia for gentle." The choice depends on the specific formula, not the category name.
What actually decides the choice
- The formula itself. Two keratins can behave very differently — just as two nanoplastia systems can. Read the composition and the manufacturer's protocol, not the category label. Compare formulas in our keratin treatments and nanoplastia collections.
- Hair condition and structure. Thickness, porosity, elasticity and existing damage narrow the options before you even open a bottle.
- Chemical history. Colour, lightening and previous straightening change how hair reacts. Assess it every time — and never treat coloured and bleached hair as one group.
- Desired result. Glass-sleek and compact, or smooth with natural movement? Define it with the client first.
- The strand test. For strong formulas especially, the test strand is what confirms timing, temperature and whether the result matches expectations.
A note on uneven results
Uneven results can have several causes, including formula selection, hair condition, product quality and application technique. Reliable results depend on suitable product selection, product quality and correct professional application.
